Why would you prefer a Magna 750 over the Yamaha V-Star 1100, at the same price there is no contest. I've ridden both.

Belt vs Shaft
750 vs 1100
V-4 vs V-2
3.5 vs 4.5 Gas Tank
Larger rear tire
Larger front tire if you by the Classic for $200 more.
Superior brakes
Superior transmission
Same motor as the Virago 1100
One problem you have to loosen the header to change the oil filter.
More Power and way more torque, riding double you can accelerate in any gear, its amazing.
Shall I go on. Also, I agree, there are numerous teething problems associated with the LC 1500 including brakes and tranny failures. But it rides great when it runs. And it does cost nearly $10K.
Keep the rubber side down.
